Daily Schedule
Sixth Graders change classes once a day, but have two to three subjects in each class. This helps build a gradual move to the class change schedule that sixth graders are thrust into in traditional schools. This movement between classes allows for a change of scenery, a refocusing of the mind, and a chance to socialize. These are all great things. Below is an outline of the daily routine. The class students are in depends on which homeroom they belong to and what day it is in the rotation.
8:00-8:05- Students report to homeroom/ Start bellringer work
8:05-9:05- Science or Math
9:10-10:10- Language Arts or Social Studies
10:15-11:15- Critical Thinking or Reading
Change classes
11:20-11:50- Language Arts or Math (first part)
11:55-12:20- Lunch
12:25-12:55- Language Arts or Math (second part)
1:00-1:20- Study Hall/Extended Lesson Time/ Dress for PE
1:20-2:00- Art or PE
2:05-3:00- Science or Social Studies
3:30- Student Dismissal
